The Telecom Providers SMBs Trust Most

Which telecom providers are small and midsized businesses (SMBs) most familiar with, and which do they trust most? To find out, Bredin recently surveyed 500 U.S. SMB principals. Very small businesses (VSBs, with 1-19 employees) and midsized businesses (MBs, with 100-500 employees) are most familiar with AT&T and Verizon, followed by T-Mobile and Zoom, respectively. Small businesses (SBs, with 20-99 employees) are most familiar with Zoom, followed closely by T-Mobile and Verizon. SBs are significantly more familiar with almost every surveyed brand than VSBs, and MBs are significantly more familiar with all surveyed brands than VSBs, and with most than SBs.

SMB Telecom Provider Familiarity

We also asked SMBs which of the companies they trust most, of the providers they know. The most familiar brands also tend to be the most trusted — AT&T leads for both VSBs and MBs, while Zoom tops the list for SBs. Microsoft Teams ties with Zoom for second place among VSBs, and falls just behind Zoom, in third, for SBs and MBs. MBs trust almost every surveyed brand significantly more than VSBs do.
